SCROLL TUTORIAL 4
now that you have glued on the ribbon, you are ready to put your dowels together:
1. cut the desired length of the dowel rods. (i bought a package of 12 in dowel rods so i didn't have to cut anything ^^)
2. using the hot glue gun place a drop of glue in the hole of each dowel cap.
3. press the dowel cap down on each end of the dowel rod.

Now that you've finished your design, you are ready to attatch your ribbon:
1. Cut a peice of ribbon ten (10) inches long.
2. Finish off the edges so that they don't frey, using glue or (depending on the ribbon) a lighter to melt the edges. (i used nylon so i melted the edges)
3. Fold the ribbon in half and mark it with a permanate marker (make SURE the color dosen't match the ribbon or it won't show up and will make it difficult to find it)
4. place a drop of hot glue on the marked spot on the ribbon and place that on the dot on the BACK of the scroll design. (make SURE it's placed verticly as shown in the picture, this is what will bind

Now you are ready to design your scroll paper:
1. make sure that the center dot you drew on the paper is on the BACK side of your scroll paper (this will help us mark where to put the ribbon later) and the sides you marked off for your template paper (if you're not going to print your design) is on the FRONT side.
2. once you have the sides marked on the paper go ahead and draw (or print) out your design. once this is done you'll be ready to put the ribbon on. (as you wil see in the next picture. And as you can see here i chose to draw my section of northern Htrae this time)
